OnePlus has finally launched its much-awaited smartphone, the OnePlus 8 at an online event. The renders and expected specs for the smartphone were being surfaced on the web for quite along. Earlier it was speculated that OnePlus may delay the launch of the smartphone because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic but it didn’t happen and the brand launched it as per the schedule.
The successor for OnePlus 7, the OnePlus 8 comes featured with a 6.55-inch FHD+ AMOLED Fluid Display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It gets 3D Corning Gorilla Glass Protection. The smartphone is powered by 2.84GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 865 7nm chipset with Adreno 650 GPU. It is paired with up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 3.0 storage.
The smartphone runs on Oxygen OS 10.0 that is based on the Android 10 operating system. The mobile phone also supports Wi-Fi 6 and 5G connectivity. For optics, the OnePlus 8 gets a triple rear camera setup. It has a 48MP primary rear camera with Sony IMX586 sensor, a 16MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP lens for macro shots. At the front, it gets a 16MP punch-hole selfie camera with Sony IMX471 sensor.
Like the OnePlus 7, the latest OnePlus smartphone also has an in-display fingerprint sensor. It has premium quality stereo speakers that also feature Dolby Atmos. The mobile phone is available in four colour options: Interstellar Glow, Glacial Green, Onyx Black, and Polar Silver. The smartphone comes in a pack with a 4300mAh battery with Warp Charge 30T. The fast charging technology can charge the OnePlus 8 up to 50% in only 22 minutes. Here is the variant-wise price list of the OnePlus 8.
