OnePlus Wireless Charger Officially Announced for $80 (INR 6,100)

OnePlus Wireless Charger Officially Announced: OnePlus 8 Pro has been finally launched with the much-awaited feature, Wireless Charging. This particular feature was missing from the last flagship by the brand. The OnePlus 8 Pro gets support for wireless charging which will operate at 30W power.

The charging power is the same as the company’s wired charging which is quite impressive, though it will require a proprietary charging pad. Along with the launch of the OnePlus 8 Pro, the brand has also launched the 30W OnePlus wireless charger which features an in-built fan as well.

The charging dock comes featured with a simple yet elegant design with a plastic body and a silver lining running across the frame. The user has to just place the smartphone and the wireless charging starts with a blue LED at the bottom and Warp charging logo on the lock screen of the smartphone. The impressive fact is that the OnePlus 30W wireless charger also supports Qi wireless standards.

Using this charger, the company claims that one can get 50% charging in 30 minutes on the OnePlus 8 Pro. As 30W wireless charging will produce quite an amount of heat, and to resolve this issue, the brand has installed a cooling fan in the charging stand. The fan will keep the temperature of both the stand and the smartphone completely in check as it will throw cool air at the back panel of the OnePlus 8 Pro.

The sound of the fan can be as loud as 30dB which is bearable in the day time but it would seem loud at night. To resolve the same, the OnePlus wireless charger also gets a smart night mode. At night, the charger will automatically switch off the built-in fan and lower the charging speed to keep the temperature in check.

Moreover, this wireless charger can charge other Qi-compatible smartphones at 5W charging speed. The OnePlus Warp Charge 30W wireless charging dock is priced at USD 80 (INR 6,100 approximately). The brand has also launched a charging pad for USD 70 (INR 5,300 approximately) in case one does not need a stand.
