Samsung is about to launch the flagship Galaxy S8 and S8+ internationally. Before the official event takes place, few images and most major details for the new flagship phones have leaked online, giving us a clear glimpse of the new smartphones in their production shells. Both the S8 and S8+ will support 2960 x 1440 pixel resolution, 18.5:9 aspect ratio while the screen size grows to 5.8 inch and 6.2 inch for each of them respectively. Galaxy S8 series is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
Key Specifications of Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+
The common features will include 12 MP dual pixel rear camera, 8 MP front camera and IP68 certified water and dust proof body. Samsung Galaxy S8 will be powered by a 3000 mAh battery while the size for Galaxy S8+ is 3500 mAh. Both the phones are offered with fingerprint sensor at the rear end, supporting gestures for opening and closing apps through the same. The shades on offer include Black, Blue, Gold, Silver and Orchid Gray.
The leak also confirmed a Samsung Galaxy DeX Station, helping the buyers get a desktop type experience from their S8. It comes with 2 USB2.0 ports and active cooling system. The Samsung Galaxy launch event will start 9:30 PM IST on March 29,2017. The expected pre-orders will start on April 10 while global sales are expected to start on April 21. Both the phones get corner to corner display with no button at its front. S8 Series is also expected to come with Iris scanner.
