Samsung teased a Moto RAZR-inspired foldable smartphone back in October 2019 at the Samsung Developer Conference 2019 (SDC19) and now the live images of the smartphone have surfaced online.
Featuring almost similar clamshell design, the upcoming foldable smartphone from Samsung is expected to be called as a successor to the last-gen Samsung Galaxy Fold. The rumours also suggest the brand to launch the new Galaxy Fold clamshell smartphone on February 18 at the Galaxy unpacked event where the brand will reveal the much-awaited Galaxy S11 series.
The recently leaked images of the foldable smartphone from Samsung showcases a vertical screen that can be folded into a small square form factor. The brand has further equipped the smartphone with a punch-hole camera while the display is guarded by a wide bezel.
The images also reveal a secondary display when the smartphone is folded like a clamshell though there is no confirmation if a wider outer display is also on the charts. The small display when folded offers the date and time while features dual camera setup on the right side. The smartphone features a bottom-firing speaker at the rear in addition to a USB port Type-C. The headphone jacks seem to be missing while the fingerprint sensor is expected to be side-mounted.
The earlier reports suggested the foldable smartphone was codenamed as “Bloom” which featured a 6.7-inch foldable display and a 1-inch display when folded just like the new model of the Motorola RAZR. Certain reports also suggest the all-new Galaxy foldable smartphone from Samsung to feature a primary camera with a 108MP ISOCELL Bright HMX image sensor.
There is no official confirmation if the recently leaked images of the upcoming smartphone are legit or completely fake though if and when launched in India, one can expect it to get a cheaper price tag when compared to the first-gen Samsung Galaxy Fold.
