Ice Universe talks of a poster from the Samsung Columbia website and this reveals the launch date for the Galaxy S23 series. It has the tagline ‘Epic moments are on their way,’ and a link to the website.
Several rumours suggested the Galaxy S23 series release in early February. Despite rumours of a February 8th launch date, a new Tweet from the popular leaker claims an early launch. Samsung is planning a formal Unpacked event on February 1st, a week earlier than expected.
Samsung released the Galaxy S22 series on February 9, 2022. According to the most recent reports, the event will take place in San Francisco. Because Samsung usually holds a public event and releases the product on “Friday in two weeks”. The Galaxy S23 series is expected to be available on February 17, 2023.
The S23 series may use a faster Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC with clock speeds up to 3.36GHz compared to the standard version’s 3.2GHz. The company does not intend to release an Exynos version of the phone. So the Snapdragon chip will be available in all markets. This info is based on the rumours and benchmark listings.
The Galaxy S23 Ultra (SM-S9180) was even certified in China two months before the specification reveal. The Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ should keep the 50MP camera, powered by Android 13 and OneUI 5.
