PocoPhone F1 to Launch in India on August 22 [Photos & Unboxing Video]

The official launch of the PocoPhone F1 is still a week away; Xiaomi having confirmed the launch date as August 22. The event is set to take place in New Delhi. However, with all the leaks that have appeared on the internet, along with an unboxing video, there is little left for imagination for the PocoPhone F1. In a recent tweet, the company revealed that the phone will be powered by the flagship processor by Qualcomm, Snapdragon 845.

In another tweet, the POCO team confirmed that the price of the phone will be way below the $1000 tag, that the other flagships are slowly creeping towards. The only confusion that remains is regarding the name of the phone; the twitter handle for the project is GlobalPocoPhone while Xiaomi tweeted the phone as Poco F1.

From the leaks, we come to know that the F1 will sport a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display with the notch ever-present on it at the top. The leak also suggests that the phone will come with 6GB of RAM and will be available in two variants, with a choice between the storage options for 64GB and 128GB. For the expansion of memory storage on the phone, there will be an option of microSD card as well. The camera setup on the phone is a dual camera setup, with a 12-megapixel primary lens and a 5-megapixel secondary lens, at the rear and a 20-megapixel lens at the front.

Flagship standard features like the 3.5mm audio jack, fingerprint sensor at the rear, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C, and Quick Charge 3.0 are also expected to be present on the phone. The battery pack is leaked to be 4000mAh. Most probably, the phone will run on Android 8.1 Oreo, with an MIUI 9 skin on top. The price for India is expected to be around INR 30,000 for the lower storage option. The colours that are most likely to come in India include Blue and Graphite Black.
