Xiaomi has officially unveiled the Mi MIX Alpha 5G smartphone which has an innovative wrap-around display with a screen-to-body ratio of more than 180.6%. In addition to this, it is also the world’s first smartphone to come featured with a 108MP primary rear camera. The Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha uses a durable protective layer which optimizes the screen stack structure. The smartphone has got a minimum bezel on the top and bottom. The sides of the device are pressure sensitive and use a linear motor to stimulate the touch of real buttons.
The surround screen on the Mi MIX Alpha wraps the whole device to the point where it meets the camera module on the other side. The top and bottom parts of the frame are built with aerospace-grade titanium alloy material. The entire protective cover for the camera uses a single piece of sapphire glass. The smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 855 Plus processor with Qualcomm X50 modem for 5G. It packs 12GB of RAM with 512GB of UFS 3.0 internal storage. The Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha is equipped with a 4050 mAh battery with 40W wired fast charging.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha has anti false touch technology that deactivates the non-active area, allowing dynamic allocation of touch commands. For optics, the smartphone gets a triple rear camera setup. It has a 108MP primary camera that uses Tetracell technology that allows the sensor to intimate big-pixel sensors, which produces brighter 27MP images and supports four-in-one Superpixel to produce large 1.6um pixels under low-light conditions. There is a 20MP ultra-wide-angle camera which supports 1.5cm super macro and a 12MP telephoto lens that supports 2x optical zoom and Dual PD focus.
Coming to the pricing of the smartphone, it will be available at 19,999 Yuan (INR 1.99 lakh approximately). The Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha will go on sale in limited numbers in China starting from the first week of December this year.
