Xiaomi Mi Studio Launched; 1000th Mi Store Inaugurated in India

Xiaomi at an event has inaugurated its 1000th Mi Store in the country. The firm now has its reach in more than 300 cities and 19 major states in India. The 1000th Mi Store is located at Rewari, Haryana. In addition to the Mi Store, the brand has also announced the launch of “Mi Studio”, an urban extension of the Mi Homes, Xiaomi’s latest retail concept.

The Mi Studio has been launched for offering a premium brand experience to the Mi enthusiasts and fans in 50 cities. The newly launched Mi Studios are located at Mumbai and Bangalore, and the stores vary from an average size of 400-600 sq.ft. With a modern and minimalist interior design like the “Mi Homes”, the Mi Studios can be regarded as an optimized version of the Mi Homes.

According to the reports, the brand is also planning on opening 200 Mi Studios in the country in 50 major cities by the end of the year 2019. The brand has been able to offer employment opportunities to more than 2000 people across the country and the newly launched Mi Stores are their way of symbolising their immense success for planning new and innovative retail measures across different cities in India.

According to Xiaomi’s offline expansion plans, they are also working towards opening more than 10,000 retail stores in the country across its four offline channels. The brand has also registered its name in the Guinness Book of World Record by opening 500 Mi stores in India simultaneously.

Commenting on the launch of Mi Stores, Arvind Yadav, Head of Retail Business, Xiaomi India, stated: “We are delighted to be opening our 1000th Mi Store in India and to be introducing the all-new Mi Studio initiative.
