Xiaomi has launched its new mid-range smartphone Redmi 7 in India at an effective price tag of INR 7,999 for the 2GB RAM variant and INR 8,999 for the 3GB RAM variant. The smartphone is available in Comet Blue, Lunar Red and Eclipse Black colours and will be available at Amazon India and Mi’s online & offline stores from April 29.
The Redmi 7 is a budget smartphone that runs on Android 9.0 (Pie) with MIUI 10. The smartphone features a 6.26-inch HD+ 19:9 2.5D curved glass display with a resolution of 1520×720 pixels and gets Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It packs a 4000mAh battery and gets a dual SIM architecture.
Powering the Redmi 7 is a 1.8GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 632 which has been paired with Adreno 506 GPU. The smartphone gets 32GB of internal storage with both the 2GB and 3GB RAM variants and features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. It gets a dual 12MP+2MP rear camera setup and features an 8MP front camera. The smartphone gets a 3.5mm headphone jack and gets spill resistant P2i nano coating.
