Xiaomi’s Redmi brand has officially unveiled its budget smartphone by the name Redmi 7A in China. It has replaced the Redmi 6A which was launched last year. The price list of the smartphone has been officially revealed along with the launch of the Redmi K20 Pro, the ‘Flagship Killer 2.0’ smartphone.
Redmi 7A gets a starting price tag of 549 Yuan, which is approximately INR 5,500 for 16GB storage version, and its 32GB storage version costs 599 Yuan (INR 6,000). The Redmi 7A will be available in the market with two colour options: Black and Blue. The phone will go in sale in China from June 6th, and it is expected to launch in India in the coming weeks.
The Redmi 7A is featured with a 5.45-inch curved glass display with a resolution of 1440×720 pixels. It runs on MiUi 10 which is based on Android 9.0 (Pie), while it gets an Octa-Core Snapdragon 439 processor which is paired with Adreno 505 GPU. The Redmi 7A is available in 2 variants: 2GB RAM with 16GB of storage and 2GB RAM with 32GB of internal storage, which is expandable via a microSD card up to 256GB. Xiaomi Redmi 7A comes packed with a 4000mAh battery and it also gets a spill-resistant coating.
For Optics, the smartphone gets a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP selfie camera at the front. The phone gets a dual-SIM architecture and features Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and GPS as the connectivity options.
