Xiaomi is all set to launch its ‘Flagship Killer 2.0’ Redmi K20 series in India. The news has been officially confirmed by Manu Kumar Jain, the Xiaomi India Head and Vice President on his social media account. As announced on his Twitter handle, the all-new smartphone series will be launching in India within the next 6 weeks, that is by 15th of July 2019. The official price tags in India will be unveiled at the time of the launch though, the Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro are available in China with a starting price tag of 1999 yuan (INR 20,200 approx.) and 2499 yuan (INR 25,200 approx.) respectively.
For jogging your memory, the Killer Redmi K20 series by Xiaomi will compete with the likes of OnePlus 7 Series launched in India last month. Both the Redmi K20 and K20 Pro feature a 6.39-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 91.9% screen-to-body ratio and runs on MIUI 10 based on Android Pie. Both the smartphones feature a triple rear camera unit with a 48MP primary camera, a secondary 8MP telephoto lens, and a tertiary 13MP ultra-wide-angle sensor. The smartphone series also gets a 20MP pop-up selfie camera that has been tested multiple times for reliability and control.
The Redmi K20 series by Xiaomi packs a 4000mAh battery with fast charging capabilities while features a 7th generation in-display fingerprint sensor. The primary difference between the Redmi K20 and K20 Pro lies with the Snapdragon 730 processor that powers the former while the latter is powered by Snapdragon 855 processor. The Redmi K20 will be available with 6GB of RAM while the Pro version will come with an option of 6GB/8GB RAM. Both smartphones will be available in multiple variants and colours.
