After the many leaks that surfaced on the internet, Xiaomi has finally announced the Redmi Note 6 Pro. The event of the launch took place in Thailand, and the phone comes with a 6.26-inch Full HD+ 2.5D curved glass LCD IPS display with an aspect ratio of 19:9 and a resolution of 2280×1080 pixels. The phone is powered by the 1.8GHz Octa Core Snapdragon 636 processor coupled with the Adreno 509 GPU. Running on Android 8.1 Oreo, the phone features the MIUI skin on top of the operating system.
There is a dual camera setup at both the faces of the phone. At the rear of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro, there is a 12 megapixel primary camera and a 5 megapixel secondary camera. The camera features go on to include things like image stabilization and dual PD focus. Up at the front, there is yet another dual camera setup which includes a 20 megapixel primary camera and a 2 megapixel secondary camera.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro has been launched only with one configuration, with a 4GB RAM and a 64GB internal storage. However, this memory can be expanded using a microSD card with a capacity up to 128GB. There is a fingerprint sensor and an infrared sensor on the phone for the bio-metric requirements. The phone draws its power from a 4000mAh battery. The Redmi Note 6 Pro comes with a hybrid dual SIM slot that supports 4G VoLTE on both the SIM cards.
The current configuration of the phone has been launched in Thailand for a price of 6,990 Thai Baht, which converts to approximately INR 15,660. The phone is available in three colours, Black, Blue, and Rose Gold. It is available for sale in Thailand at the ongoing Thailand Mobile Expo and Lazada.
