Xiaomi recently launched its Redmi Note 7S in India with a starting price tag of INR 10,999. As per the latest details, the new smartphone will replace the Redmi Note 7 in India in the coming weeks. In a recent tweet, Raghu Reddy, Head of Categories and Online Sales (Xiaomi India) confirmed that the Redmi Note 7 will be phased out. The Redmi Note 7 was launched in February this year and it has proved to be a hit for the company. If we talk about the design, both Redmi Note 7 and the Note 7S have almost identical looks but there is a drastic change in the rear camera setup.
The Redmi Note 7S comes in a pack with a 48MP rear camera with 1/2″ Samsung’s ISOCELL bright GM1 sensor with f/1.79 aperture along with a 5MP secondary camera. At the front, the phone comes with a 13MP camera with AI beautify feature. In comparison, the Redmi Note 7 is equipped with a 12MP primary camera with a 2MP secondary rear camera, while the phone comes with a similar 13MP front camera. Apart from the rear cameras, the Note 7S has got the same specifications as that of the Redmi Note 7.
The recently launched Redmi Note 7S is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 AIE processor with a 14nm chip. The phone comes with a 6.3-inch full HD+ dot notch display with 1.95mm narrow bezels, 81.37% screen-to-body ratio, aura design with a glass back with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The phone comes equipped with a 4000mAh battery with support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0 for 18W fast charging.
