Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 8 in the Indian market last year with a starting price tag of INR 9,999. As per the official website of Mi India, the brand has increased the base price of the smartphone by INR 500. It now comes priced at INR 10,499 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage variant. There is no significant reason available for this price hike. In comparison, the price for the 6GB+128GB variant remains the same and it continues to be priced at INR 12,999.
The smartphone comes with a 6.39-inch Full HD+ LCD screen with 90% screen-to-body ratio. It is powered by a Snapdragon 665 processor with 11nm chipset. For optics, the smartphone has a quad rear camera setup. It has a 48MP primary rear camera with 4-in-1 pixel binning for low light shots, an 8MP 120-degree ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP sensor for 2cm macro shots. The 64GB internal storage model of the smartphone will now be available only on prepaid orders.
