Xiaomi Smart Rear View Mirror Launched in China: Xiaomi is technologically the most advanced pocket friendly manufacturer of all time. From their mass market smartphones to high end devices, everything that Xiaomi makes has a specific market share in most countries.
They recently introduced second gen rear view mirror with features that can simply put many infotainment systems to shame. First, they have priced this one for 1199 Yuan (INR 12,400 approx) and more than that, it helps your car turn into a smart vehicle through minimum additions. It connects easily with Mi app on the phone and thus, one has the option to operate home appliances through this rear view mirror space.
The screen on offer is 8.88 inch diagonally, helping users get two separate displays that serve multiple purposes on their own. It comes with 4G connectivity, GPS, front facing camera and much more for real time map service and access to anything with ease.
Buyers needs to connect this device through a USB cable to a power socket. Apart from these smart jobs, Xiaomi’s rear view mirror can be connected to a rear view camera for simultaneous front and rear video recording. It comes with built in microphone and speaker for easy voice control and various warnings.
The device is presently on sale in China. Xiaomi will soon make it available worldwide for countries where tech laden cars are too expensive for common people.
The camera available on this device has 160 degree viewing angle, helping driver enjoy some advanced driving assistance features like forward collision warning and lane departure warning.
Also, once the rear camera gets attached to the device, driver will get preceding vehicle start warning as an option. It even acts as Wi-Fi hotspot and supports microSD card for recording. Xiaomi has equipped the model with 1.5 GHz quad core Mediatek MT8665 processor.
