Royal Enfield Desert Storm is a unique personality in itself, with buyers choosing the same for its matt finish and dedicated paint finish. One such buyer, after five years of ownership and just 5000 kilometers of riding, has switched to a completely different world with Allura, a custom built Classic with more cruiser specific traits than ever. EIMOR Customs were given a task to redesign the motorcycle in such a way that seating becomes lower than ever, along with a complete change of body style for a better feel. The resultant is truly amazing and loaded with features that you will love for sure.
The first difference comes in the form of wheels, shifted to 16-inch for lower seating and typical cruiser stance. The 120mm tire width was adequate and helped them avoid a swingarm change on the Allura. The front fascia now offers smaller headlight, rubber covers on forks and redesigned front fender with much bigger size than the standard version. The same effect is visible on the rear fender. All parts, except for the fuel tank, are finished in the matte black shade. The chrome exhaust is a custom slip-on unit on the standard exhaust pipe. The ignition is now shifted to the right oval box.
The new fuel tank looks beautiful and compliments the presence of spring type front as well as rear seat arrangement. The seats are wrapped in premium covers with diamond quilting for a perfect setup. The engine powering this motorcycle is a 499cc, single cylinder unit, producing 27.2 BHP and 41.3 Nm of torque. It comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Allura comes with chrome spoke rims, higher than the usual handlebar, pillion grab rail and many other differences that attract the attention of the purist. The cost of this modification can be discussed directly with Eimor Customs.
