Yamaha FZ is one of the favorite when flaunting motorcycle muscle in the entry level segment become an urgent need. The reputation built by the same was recently challenged by Suzuki Gixxer and Honda CB Hornet 160R in the Indian market. This typical Yamaha FZ modified by Gear Gear Motorcycles went beyond its nature and turned itself into a slimmer machine that looks more like a modified Yamaha RX 100. Here are the details for this exclusive mod job.
The motorcycle was completely stripped down to get the idea of placing custom components, starting with RX 100 fuel tank and custom built flat seat. Removing all the panels left the side panels exposed while they were kept Black to help the Yellow fuel tank express its scrambler feel. The stock exhaust was replaced with custom exhaust can while the rear LED strip was placed right where the seat ended. The brakes were kept the same as a stock Yamaha FZ.
The ribbed seat pattern is mocked on the fuel tank with Black graphics. Gear Gear Motorcycles used a halogen front round headlight and kept the stock suspension in place for both the front and rear end. The handlebar was replaced with a scrambler racer unit while bar end mirrors further improved its overall look. The use of thicker dual purpose tyres with spoke rims at both ends made it exclusive and also helped increase the ride height for the FZ Scrambler.
