Meet Honda CB1000R Monkey Kong by Mallorca Motos

Honda CB1000R Monkey Kong is a neatly modified example of the flagship streetfighter from the Japanese motorcycle giant. Custom-made by Mallorca Motos (Spain) for a contest named ‘Honda Garage Dreams’ in Europe, the motorcycle is inspired from the popular Monkey series in terms of equipment and colour selection.

Starting from the front, CB1000R seen here features golden-finished USD front forks instead of the black one. The golden fever can also be spotted on the headlight fins, frame, and fuel tank of the motorcycle. The front fender is raised like a typical off-road machine, complementing the custom exhaust system with higher than usual height to mimic the Monkey bike stance.

The lower half of the fuel tank features the ivory finish while black exhaust comes with chrome panel on the side to keep the pillion away from the heating surface. CB1000R comes with a modern set of indicators, duly replaced with the Honda Monkey-inspired set of units to keep up with the profile.

The Honda logo remains similar to the one seen on the original motorcycle while rear suspension now comes with a yellowish-golden spring instead of the red-finished one. The motorcycle is available with a premium single-sided swingarm and dual front disc brakes as standard.

Honda CB1000R is powered by a 998cc, four-cylinder engine producing 143.5 HP at 10,500 rpm and 104 Nm at 8,250 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The fuel tank carries 16.2-litres of fuel while the stock weight for the model is 213 kg.

The switch of exhaust and fender would definitely result in a weight change and not just that, the centre of gravity also changes with a higher-placed exhaust. The four-pipe layout remains the same as the standard motorcycle while the stock exhaust is pretty short in comparison to the Monkey-inspired exhaust can. At present, the stock model of the Honda CB1000R is available in India for INR 14.45 lakh.
