JEDI Customs, a motorcycle customization shop in Mumbai, Maharashtra has come up with yet another appealing modification of the Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 into a retro bobber. The Thunderbird and Classic series from Royal Enfield are constantly subjected to some amazing modifications and this neo-retro bobber is the one worth mentioning.
The total cost of customization of this typical 2002 Thunderbird 350 into a retro bobber stands at INR 1.40 lakhs while it required JEDI customs a total of three months to get to the end product. The overall red colour scheme offered to the redesigned fuel tank of the motorcycle with the premium leather uplifted single-seat saddle adds to the retro authenticity of the customized motorcycle while at the same time, the unique Royal Enfield brass emblems finished in golden shade adds to its premium appeal.
The customizers have further imparted the modified motorcycle a clean look by eliminating the tail light and the pillion seat as well as the grab rail. The motorcycle has been further equipped with hand-butted ribs on the side panels, while the headlight is surrounded by an old school cape. In addition to this, the customizers have let go of the instrument panel while all other body panels have been imparted with a glossy black finish to enhance the overall retro profile of the motorcycle.
Apart from the cosmetic changes, there has been no mechanical updates offered to the stock machine. The customized Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 continues to be powered by 346cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that is capable of offering maximum power of 19.80 bhp @ 5250 rpm and a peak torque of 28 Nm @ 4000 rpm. The engine remains mated to a 5-speed transmission.
