Royal Enfield Himalayan may not excite senses as stock but, the special Himalayan Rooster with three functional wheels and a reverse gear will surely make you think twice. The mod job has been done by TNT Motorcycles and it was officially commissioned by the brand itself, getting them a special edition for display at the Royal Enfield Cafe in Goa. Buyers were already engaging them in custom Himalayan models but none of them had multiple wheels at the back. Available in the Black and White shade as stock, Rooster is decades ahead of these two shades with Blue and Yellow inserts over the surface and completely white frame for further highlighting.
The frame was carefully altered to achieve the perfect single seat look. The opposite is seen with the engine, finished matt black and mated to a custom exhaust system with the careful use of heat shield. The front fascia is equally unique with twin round headlights that mimic the Triumph Rocket fascia. Still, the modifier has used a Street Rod inspired thin windscreen for a perfect funky look. The front fender goes exclusively short while stock suspension makes way for this long travel USD forks with the golden outer finish. The handlebar still stays relaxed, more like other RE models in the lineup.
The front tire gets replaced with this thick tread unit while the rear is completely fascinating with two off-road tires over an axle. The Himalayan Trike is not road legal, but one can ride the same on a private farmland or soft sand beach for more fun. The engine powering the Himalayan is a 411cc, single-cylinder engine, producing 24.5 BHP at 6500 rpm and 32 Nm at 4250 rpm. The engine is impressively powerful, further getting an equally impressive 5-speed gearbox. The initial days of RE Himalayan were filled with tragedies and thus, it never got the push that a new motorcycle requires in the initial days of presence.
