Jaipur based Rajputana Customs worked on this impressive machine and removed almost all non-usable components from the body. The thin cafe racer fuel tank is finished in Grey while twin shocks were replaced with a monoshock within the modified frame.
The huge front and rear fenders made way for these lightweight units while USD suspension makes handling even better than before on a
Thunderbird 500. They have even used a flat front halogen headlight for vintage feel.
Loss of weight definitely supports hard acceleration, that too further aided by a free flow exhaust pipe. Rajputana Customs have used the stock rims while front now houses a MRF Nilogrip tyre. Rear has an extra wide Ralson unit for the rubber job.
One more impressive feature on the motorcycle is its lower placed LED round taillight, fixed right next to the monoshock suspension. Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500 is powered by a 499cc, single cylinder engine. The same engine is good for 27.2 BHP at 5250 rpm and 41.3 Nm at 4000 rpm. It comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
Thunderbird 500's informative instrument console was removed in order to place the small odometer that matches the motorcycle's personality. Clip-on handlebars were fitted in order to get the perfect cafe racer feel out of this Thunderbird 500.
