Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500 Iron Maiden is a perfect example of how a moderate cruiser can shift its form into a typical cruiser. Bulleteer Customs from Bangalore made this amazing cruiser by changing almost every visible part from Thunderbird 500. The machine feels like Regal Raptor DNA infusion within Royal Enfield’s typical engine style. Changes in the motorcycle are most visible from its side view, clearly hinting at an almost new profile for standard motorcycle. Seats are ribbed and connected in such a way that rider can use its slope as a backrest while pillion now loses the stock support.
Stock fuel tank makes way for a teardrop unit with white finish. Same white finish is seen on both the fenders while black stripe runs smoothly across the center of all components, getting more visible near the tank and slimming itself at both ends. Suspension remains stock on Thunderbird 500 Iron maiden but still, one can spot gloss black covers over the front side. Bulleteer Customs are here with wide tyres, both of which are wrapped over black alloy wheels for better feel. The motorcycle further comes with ape hanger handlebar, bar end indicators, single pod console and custom front headlight.
Replacing the stock exhaust with dual pipe black unit, Bulleteer Customs kept the engine and its working components in stock condition. The 499cc, single cylinder engine on Thunderbird 500 is good for 27.1 BHP and 41.4 Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Iron Maiden equips itself with hand made parts and thus, counts special among other Royal Enfield bikes of India. Stock bike weighs 197 kg while the weight of this modified version is still unknown. They kept the stock 280 mm front and 240 mm rear disc brake intact for better braking on Iron Maiden.
