Modified Yamaha RD350 by MotoExotica: RD350 is one perfect example of performance packed machine that left a deep mark in Indian motorcycling history. It still lives within the heart of Yamaha fans and outperformed every motorcycle of its class in India.
This typically modified RD350 was intentionally given a design that matched SR400 to some extent by MotoExotica, fusing the impressive characteristics of both bikes into one with this perfect blend.
Completely different from original RD350, this custom motorcycle comes with retro modern design, advanced component list and fruitful additions in its build. The story starts from its base frame, which was once Black but painted White for additional road presence.
The sliding fuel tank takes inspiration from SR400 and the upside down forks from KTM Duke were used for better handling at the front end. That section now holds a huge tyre, neatly wrapped around chrome spoke wheels and short black fender. Rear now comes with a monoshock, suddenly creating much more space under the frame that it was available in the stock version.
An almost flat seat can be seen resting on the top while one also gets surprised with the use of high mounted fender on the rear end. This avoids the tyre touch when travelling on rough roads. The engine seems intact while exhaust system on the RD350 is an all new twin output custom free flow unit finished all in chrome.
Front and rear wheels are mated to disc brakes (Brembo at front) while rear stock rubber gets replaced with a huge dual purpose tyre for that extra grip. The classic brake light and indicators are kept in their stock condition.
It took them 3 months to build this exclusive RD350 while 50 percent of the frame needed alterations for this exclusive design Yamaha RD350 is powered by a 347cc, twin cylinder engine producing 30.5 BHP and 32.3 Nm of torque. The Japan version was even more powerful with 39 BHP and 37.2 Nm of torque.
