This beautifully restored 1998 Yamaha RX 100 is an example of unending love for retro bikes among Indian fans. Ravi Yamaha from Kanker (Chattisgarh) completed this job to make the RX 100 as original as it was felt two decades back. The restoration was taken to another level by adding modern accessories like alloy wheels and a black exhaust that were missing in that era. The motorcycle comes with silver body paint, highlights on the fuel tank and side panels, stock console with impressive detailing and chrome grab rail running parallel the entire section of the rear seat on both the sides.
The addition of silver three-spoke alloy wheels, brand new classic tyres and chrome detailing on certain parts make this Yamaha RX 100 a beautifully restored example. The engine looks crisp from the covers while added leg guard takes practicality to the next level. The 98cc, two-stroke engine on the RX 100 is good for 11 BHP of maximum power and 10.39 Nm of maximum torque. The engine comes mated to a 4-speed gearbox. It weighs just 103 kg in stock condition, resulting in an impressive power to weight ratio. The total cost of this restoration process was INR 25,000 (excluding the donor bike).
