Meet Chevrolet Cruze Hyperwide, the heavily customized version of the sedan by 360 Motoring from Kerala. It can be safely tagged as the most beautiful Cruze across India as the modifications offered to the car went deep inside and brought a monstrous machine out of the stock version.
The front end of the car features an all-new bonnet with a raised centre portion along with an air inlet in the middle. The front grille has been painted all-black while the bumper gets LED daytime running lights at both ends. The sedan has been further equipped with extended wheel arches that justify the ‘Hyperwide’ suffix offered to the name.
The fenders now accommodate a set of extra-wide 18-inch tyres, further looking exclusive with extended side skirts and black outside rearview mirrors. If you still feel something is missing from the car, the customizers have equipped this typical Chevrolet Cruze with Lamborghini-style scissor doors to enhance the sporty character of the sedan.
The rear bumper of the car also receives the same styling while the interior of the car features leather seats and side panels for the premium sporty feel. The Cruze sedan is no longer available in the Indian market as it was discontinued under the Chevrolet’s exit plan that was operational from January 1, 2018.
For your reference, the Chevrolet Cruze was powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine that was good for a maximum of 164 BHP @ 3800 rpm and a peak torque of 360 Nm @ 2000 rpm. The engine was mated to a 6-speed manual transmission as well as an optional 6-speed automatic gearbox. It was the most powerful sedan in its segment, rivalling none other than the Hyundai Elantra and Toyota Corolla Altis.
