Meet Hyundai Verna Blue Bee Edition: Verna sedan is a segment benchmark when compared in terms of performance from both petrol as well as diesel engine option. What if you can get your Verna converted to one typical ‘Need for Speed’ example in India? This Verna Blue Bee Edition is the first step to let your dream turned into reality.
Heavily modified and carrying a typical Blue finish, front fascia on Hyundai Verna Blue Bee is clearly inspired from none other than legendary Godzilla, the Nissan GT-R. One can spot similar grille placement, smoked headlights, LED fog lamps and enhanced bumper design with a splitter at the front.
Look slightly up and you get black finished bonnet with faux air intakes and full-length roof-mounted LED flood light bar. Side profile introduces the viewers to low profile tyres on Black 12-spoke alloy wheels and scissor doors that look unique for a car in this segment.
Not just that, rear ends well with a full sized spoiler and darkened tail lights. Brake calipers were painted red to achieve sporty feel on this typical Verna. Changes made under the hood were not disclosed while one can expect them to use a custom exhaust system for race car style acceleration and sound.
Verna Blue Bee Edition is based on 2014 variant of the car. Hyundai later introduced an updated version with sharper lights. In 2017, Verna had completely evolved into the present generation version with segment first features like ventilated leather seats and sunroof.
2014 Hyundai Verna was powered by same four engines that are offered among Hyundai range of cars today. The most powerful among them was 1582cc, four-cylinder diesel motor producing 128 PS at 4000 rpm and 260 Nm at 1900 rpm. It was then offered with a manual gearbox only while in 2018, buyers can select between 6-speed manual as well as a 6-speed automatic option.
