Meet Rally Car-Inspired 2020 Honda City by RS-R Japan

RS-R Japan, the very famous customization house in Japan has recently modified the all-new 2020 Honda City into a rally car. The sedan has been customized with a flashy red and white paint scheme that adds to its overall rally car outlook. The white base shade has been adorned with red graphics as well as the RS-R sport-service branding.

Coming to the front fascia, the 2020 Honda City has been imparted black colour scheme for the front grille, wing mirrors as well as other body panels. The modifiers have equipped the sedan with a spoiler at the front while the basic front profile has been kept likewise the stock condition. The RS-R branding has also been carried onto the front and rear bumper in addition to the doors of the sedan.

The AZC Original Coilover suspension offered to the sedan has resulted in a lowered height by a bit while the rest of the profile has been left unaltered. The modifiers have revised the cabin of the next-gen sedan with premium leather sports seats from Recaro while the alloy wheel setup at the exterior has also been revised to add a touch of character to its rally car profile.

The customizers have replaced the stock exhaust system on the sedan with an aftermarket unit while the power is offered by the 1.0-litre turbo petrol unit that is good for 122 HP and 173 Nm. The Indian markets will receive the 2020 Honda City with 1.5-litre petrol and diesel powertrains, capable of offering 121 HP and 100 HP respectively.

The launch of the 2020 Honda City has been indefinitely halted by the brand due to the nationwide lockdown. Once launched in India, the sedan will compete in the market against the likes of Hyundai Verna, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Volkswagen Vento and more. One can expect the price tag of the upcoming next-gen Honda City to be around INR 10 lakh – INR 16 lakh (ex-showroom).
