Suzuki Jimny Compact SUV Converted into a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon

Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon is one of the most sought-after luxury SUVs in the world while affording it is no joke. A Japanese tuner by the name Aeroover has recently modified the much affordable Suzuki Jimny compact SUV into a Mercedes G-Wagon and in terms of looks, one cannot recognize any difference between the actual G-Wagon model and this perfectly customized Jimny.

Coming to the front fascia, the Jimny now features a G-Wagon inspired radiator grille. The addition of an all-white colour scheme, as well as the spare tyre mounted on the tailgate, further offers the SUV a whole lot of premium outlook inspired by the Mercedes-Benz SUV. The customizers have replaced the front and rear bumpers on the Suzuki Jimny while the fender flares are now 80mm wider. The large fenders further make way for much larger wheels to offer the SUV a much more G-Wagon inspired outlook.

The alloy wheels on the customized SUV have also been offered a similar Mercedes-inspired stance. In addition to this, the authenticity of the customization is further enhanced with an almost similar side-mounted exhaust system that is seen on the current-gen G-Wagon. Apart from the cosmetic upgrades, the mechanical bits on the customized Jimny remain the same. Powering the SUV is a similar 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine that is capable of offering maximum power of 102 HP and a peak torque of 130 Nm. The engine remains mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

On the other hand, the Mercedes G-Wagon is powered by a 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 AMG petrol engine that is good for 577 HP of maximum power and 850 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. The Mercedes SUV is also available in the Indian markets with a 3.0-litre diesel engine that is capable of churning out 285 HP and 600 Nm.
