2023 Bajaj Pulsar NS200 Launched with USD Forks – Gets Rs 6,000 Price Hike

The NS range is one of the most popular Bajaj bikes in India. Bajaj has equipped it with USD forks and dual-channel ABS. It also receives lighter rims as well as a semi-digital console with a gear position indicator and DTE (Distance To Empty). The updated vehicles have begun to arrive at dealerships and the prices have risen in tandem with the addition of new features.

Before the recent upgrade, the NS200 was available at Rs 1.41 lakh. With these new upgrades, the NS200 has now been priced at Rs 1.47 lakh, ex-showroom. The engine has been updated to meet the stricter BS6 Phase II emission standards. Aside from the new equipment, the bike has not received any significant updates.

New Pulsar NS200 will rival Honda Hornet 2.0 and TVS Apache RTR 200 4V. RTR 200 4V has conventional telescopic front forks and is available with both single and dual-channel ABS. Honda Hornet 2.0 has USD forks but lacks dual-channel ABS. The updated Bajaj Pulsar NS200 appears to be a better value-for-money proposition.

Users can expect improved ride dynamics with the NS200 after the addition of USD forks and dual-channel ABS. Bajaj offers NS200 with 33mm USD forks in Brazil, the same has been used in India. Apart from the USD front forks, there are no other major cosmetic changes. Only a few of the graphics have been updated with new colour schemes.

The riding dynamics may have improved with the latest update. The engine remains the same as earlier. Even after the BS6 Phase II compliance, the output figures remain the same. A 199.5cc, liquid-cooled, SOHC 4-valve engine comes with a 6-speed gearbox. This BS6 phase II compliant engine churns out 24.5 PS of max power and 18.74 Nm of peak torque.
