2023 Hyundai Verna Key Design Elements Officially Revealed!

Hyundai is about to release the new generation of its midsize sedan, the Verna. Hyundai offers its vehicles plenty of features and high quality. The new generation Verna will be no exception. Many previous spy shots have piqued the audience’s interest. Hyundai has released another teaser showing the interior and exterior of the Verna.

The upcoming Hyundai Verna will feature a daring and futuristic design. Hyundai has released a new teaser video highlighting several new design elements of the car. It features an elongated LED DRL and LED headlamps. Slim bumpers, eye-catching alloy wheels and a 1.5 turbo emblem embossed on the tailgate. The 2023 Hyundai Verna will come equipped with a unique LED taillight that connects via a light bar running across the tailgate.

The interior as seen in this new teaser has a premium dual-tone beige and black theme. The interior features a new multi-functional steering wheel and a large-screen infotainment system. Hyundai Verna’s new gen comes with a digital instrument cluster, making it an advanced futuristic sedan.

The new Hyundai Verna will be available with a variety of powertrain options. The base powertrain will be a 1.5-litre four-cylinder NA petrol engine. This BS6-compliant engine produces a max power of 115 horsepower and 144 Nm of peak torque. This engine is available with either a 6-speed manual transmission or an IVT transmission. 

The 1.5-litre four-cylinder T-GDI turbo petrol powertrain is the other option on sale. This engine produces a max power of 160 horsepower and 250 Nm of peak torque. This engine will be available with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT transmission. 

Hyundai has tuned the new powertrains to meet upcoming emission regulations. Hyundai has not offered a diesel engine option for Verna’s latest generation. The MY2023 Hyundai Verna will compete against formidable rivals in the Indian market – Honda City, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Skoda Slavia, and Volkswagen Virtus are a few.
