By The updated 2023 model of the Tata Harrier SUV has been spotted testing once more, and the spy images we show you this time give a clear sign of what is in store. The front fascia is inspired by the Tata Harrier EV, with a more pronounced clamshell bonnet than the existing Harrier. A more upright nose section is also present.
The split headlamp cluster has a new vertical housing, and the many horizontal slats in the middle and bumper are reminiscent of the Harrier EV. Tata intends to streamline the Harrier lineup by incorporating new design cues for the upcoming models.
It should be noted that a redesigned Nexon is also on the way. The side profile of the 2023 Tata Harrier is very like the current model. It has identical character lines and body cladding, but the alloy wheels are completely new. The rear has updated wraparound tail lamps, but whether the integrated LED light strip found in the Harrier EV will be included is unknown.
The boot-integrated spoiler with high-mounted stop lamp and shark fin antenna. The boot lid, bumper, reflectors and exhaust tips are all the same as on the current Harrier. The interior of the 2023 Tata Harrier has also been spotted for the first time. It reveals a dual-tone finish, brown-coloured leather seats, a drive mode selector, and a new shifter.
The metallic trims, AC vents, faux wood dashboard finish, touchscreen, instrument cluster, and steering wheel have all been carried over from the current-gen model of the SUV.
The 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine from FCA will remain. It currently produces a max power of 170 PS and 350 Nm of peak torque. It comes with either a six-speed manual transmission or a torque converter AT with six speeds. The next-generation 1.5-litre DI turbo petrol engine could be added to the lineup soon.
The updated Tata Harrier is expected to be released in the second half of this year. The brand may release back-to-back models, as it did in early 2020.
