Tata Motors recently introduced the 2023 iteration of Safari with new features. These features include a larger touchscreen infotainment system with a redesigned UI. One of the buyers, Ayushman from Lucknow, purchased the new model of Safari SUV 1.5 months ago from SRM Motors Lucknow. It has come to our attention that he is having a lot of problems with the display.
First, he encountered a problem with the reverse camera. When he shifts into the reverse gear, the display changes to a completely new image, instead of showing the actual view behind the car. At night, even when a car is parked behind, the display shows an image of a street in broad daylight with no automobile parked behind. It seems like he has faced this problem on many occasions.
A few days later, he realised that the display entirely freezes. In changing the AC controls on the display, the screen simply hung and did not accept any user input. After a time, the owner encountered a new problem. The menu of the infotainment system changed constantly without any interaction.
The owner has been to the service centre several times. Every visit, the software of the infotainment system is updated, but once the owner leaves the centre, everything is reset. They also changed the silver box of the infotainment system a few days ago. Even the Harman technicians spent a good 6-7 hours on the system. But when the owner returned back to his place, the same problems reappeared.
We hope Tata Motors resolves the issue as soon as possible and releases an update that corrects the flaws in all affected vehicles.
