For MY2023, Yamaha has made some minor changes to the Nmax scooter. It’s a true maxi scooter with a 155cc engine shared with the Yamaha R15 V4, MT-15, and Aerox 155 in India. With a tall windscreen and a fuller front fairing, the Yamaha Nmax 155 is more akin to a maxi-style scooter.
Yamaha has not offered many new changes with the 2023 update. The design and style language is identical to the outgoing model. The only appearance changes worth mentioning are the two new colour combinations. The only changes to the MY2023 Yamaha Nmax 155 in the Malaysian market are the colours – Blue and Red.
LED headlights are encased in a clear visor-like piece, and LED DRLs are included. Above it is a tall windscreen that is unlikely to be adjustable. The Yamaha Nmax 155cc now has a full fairing. As a result, the Nmax 155 is more of a maxi scooter than the Aerox 155. To reduce the visual mass of this scooter, the majority of the body panels are blackened. At the back, there is a large grab rail and a stylish tail light design.
The MY2023 Yamaha Nmax 155 has a swingarm-mounted engine. It is the same unit as the Yamaha YZF-R15 V4, MT-15, and Aerox 155 that we get in India. It has a 4V head, VVA (Variable Valve Actuation), and is also liquid-cooled. Yamaha has detuned this engine in the Nmax 155. This engine produces a max power of 14.9 bhp and a peak torque of 13.5 Nm.
The MY2023 Yamaha Nmax 155 costs around RM 9,800 in Malaysia. It is around Rs. 1.83 lakhs in Indian currency. When it comes to the Indian launch then we doubt it will ever make it to our shores.
