Hyundai has been spotted testing the facelifted MY2024 version of its popular Creta SUV. The test mule exhibits numerous new stylistic elements that will alter the identity of the current generation car.
The facelifted Creta gets a large parametric jewel grille with new design features on the front profile. It also has a new headlight arrangement with bumper-integrated new LED lights and top-mounted L-shaped DRLs. There is a camera on the grille, as well as front sensors and radar equipment. It alludes to the additional features and ADAS technology that will be available with the next model.
The car’s side profile exhibits a similar roofline and glass section. Even the front fender is identical to the current model. But you will notice a new set of diamond-cut alloy wheels in one spy image. The wheels look quite premium compared to the current ones being offered.
The rear profile is fully concealed, but the LED tail light parts with an H-shaped pattern are visible. This is similar to the Exter design DNA. Seems like Hyundai is shifting to this new design language which is less busy and accentuates the SUV character of a car. We have seen the same template with the upcoming Santa Fe that was spotted recently.
The interior of the facelifted Creta is also expected to get a major overhaul. The dashboard is expected to be tweaked with a larger touchscreen system having a new UI. The steering wheel is expected to get a design update. Also, the digital instrument cluster may offer a high-resolution display.
In the new Creta, Hyundai will have ADAS, a 360-degree camera, ambient lighting, ventilated seats, and other features. Part of the technology will be drawn from the facelifted Kia Seltos.
Engine options are likely to be the same: 1.5-litre NA petrol, 1.5-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine options. Depending on the powerplant, the company will provide manual, IMT, and automated gearbox options.
The Creta facelift is expected to hit the Indian showrooms in the first quarter of 2024. It will compete with Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, MG Astor and the upcoming Honda Elevate.
