Redesigned lighting components, a bigger grille, and a more aggressive front lower bumper are among the noticeable modifications. The side profile benefits from sportier alloy wheels, likely 15-inch in size. Additionally, conventional rear door handles replace the previous C-pillar mounted ones. Rear updates consist of new taillights, a revised bumper, and a more pronounced roof spoiler. Minor adjustments in dimensions, with a 15 mm increase in length, may slightly impact the car’s road presence. Interior spaciousness remains a hallmark of the Swift, ensuring continuity with the 4th-gen model.

4th-Gen Maruti Swift – Enhanced Interiors

Interior upgrades feature a new dashboard and climate control panel. A significant addition is the larger 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, similar to other recent Maruti models. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support simplifies smartphone connectivity. 2024 Maruti Swift – New Powertrain

The 4th-gen Swift will be powered by a new Z Series 1.2-liter 3-cylinder engine with a 12V mild-hybrid system, possibly resulting in improved fuel efficiency. The current 3rd-gen Swift houses a K series dual jet, dual VVT petrol engine delivering 89.73 PS and 113 Nm of torque. Fuel efficiency stands at 22.38 km/L (manual) and 22.56 km/L (AGS transmission), while the Swift CNG variant offers 30.90 km/kg.

Competitive Positioning

The 2024 Maruti Swift will continue to compete with rivals such as the Tata Tiago and Hyundai i10 Nios. With its updates and enhancements, the new-gen model is anticipated to maintain its lead in sales, albeit with a higher price tag compared to the current 3rd-gen Swift, which starts at Rs 5.99 lakh.
