2024 Tata Safari Interior Leaked – The Steering Wheel Has A Touchscreen?

Tata Motors is gearing up to launch the facelifted 2024 model of the Safari in India soon, and we have now got our first look at the SUV’s interior. The new Safari gets a major overhaul inside, with a new dashboard, steering wheel, and infotainment system.

The dashboard is now more modern and upmarket, with a new leatherette cladding on the lower half. The central air vents and HVAC controls have also been redesigned. The middle off-white panel is given a glossy finish with a carbon fibre impression. It also features touch-sensitive buttons along with two toggles.

The infotainment system is now a larger 12-inch unit, and it is bezel-less with sharper corners. The instrument cluster is also a single-piece unit, which looks more premium than the current triple-screen setup.

The steering wheel is also new, and it features Tata’s latest design language. There are audio and cruise control toggles, and the centre is likely to include an illuminated Tata logo on a display, which looks like a small touchscreen. The door pads of the new model also get Tri-Arrow perforations.

The centre console is similar in layout to the current model, but it gets a new gear selector and a larger dial with a circular display. The gear selector is smaller in size and looks more sophisticated than before. The control dial in front of it is likely to control different ESP modes or even AWD modes in the facelifted Safari.

Tata is also expected to offer a rear seat entertainment system and rear seat ventilation on the new Safari. The SUV is likely to be powered by the company’s new 1.5L turbo petrol engine with 170 PS and 250 Nm, along with a new DCT gearbox. The 2.0L Stellantis-sourced diesel mill will remain as is, with 170 PS and 350 Nm.

The launch of the 2024 Tata Safari facelift is expected to happen ahead of the Diwali festive season this year.
