3 Expected Car Launches in February 2024

In January 2024, there were various updates to existing car models, including changes for the new model year, facelifts, and the introduction of an electric vehicle. As we move into February, the market is eagerly awaiting the arrival of three new car models. These include variants of the Tata Tiago and Tigor with CNG and automatic transmission options, along with a sportier version of the recently launched facelifted Hyundai Creta. Let’s examine each of these vehicles in more detail.

Tata Tiago And Tiago NRG CNG AMT

Expected Price: Starting from Rs. 7.10 Lakhs

The Tata Tiago is set to become the first hatchback in India to offer a CNG option paired with an automatic transmission. The Tiago CNG received an update in 2023, incorporating Tata’s twin cylinder technology to ensure a usable boot space.

In the CNG variants, the Tata Tiago is equipped with a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder petrol engine generating 73.5 PS and 95 Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. Similar to the petrol variant, the Tiago CNG will also offer a 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT). The Tata Tiago NRG CNG, a rugged variant of the Tiago, will also feature the same 5-speed AMT transmission.

The Tata Tiago CNG comes with several amenities, including a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a semi-digital driver’s display, and automatic air conditioning. Safety features include dual front airbags, a rear parking camera with sensors, and a tire pressure monitoring system.

Tata Tigor CNG AMT

Expected Price: Starting from Rs. 8.40 Lakhs

In addition to the Tiago CNG, the sedan version, Tata Tigor, will also receive a 5-speed AMT transmission option, making it the first CNG automatic subcompact sedan in India.

Tata Tigor CNG AMT

The Tigor CNG shares the same engine as the Tiago, a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder petrol engine producing 73.5 PS and 95 Nm of torque in CNG mode. It has been available with a 5-speed manual transmission since its launch. Like the Tiago CNG, the Tigor CNG also features twin-cylinder technology to provide usable boot space.

The Tigor CNG boasts features such as a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a semi-digital driver’s display, automatic air conditioning, and an 8-speaker sound system. Safety features include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, a tire pressure monitoring system, and a rear parking camera.

Hyundai Creta N Line

Expected Price: Starting from Rs. 17.50 Lakhs

The Hyundai Creta recently underwent a comprehensive redesign, offering fresh design elements and enhanced features. Hyundai is now gearing up to launch the sportier N Line version of the Creta, a first for the India-spec SUV. It will be the third N Line model from Hyundai, following the i20 N Line and the Venue N Line.

Based on recent spy shots, the Creta N Line will feature a distinctive front fascia compared to the regular version. It will be powered by the same 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine producing 160 PS and 253 Nm of torque, with the possibility of a 6-speed manual transmission in addition to the existing 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT).

Hyundai Creta N Line

The Creta N Line will be equipped with features such as a dual 10.25-inch screen setup for infotainment and driver’s display, dual-zone air conditioning, wireless phone charging, ventilated front seats, and a panoramic sunroof. Safety features will include six airbags, electronic stability control, a 360-degree camera, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

These three new models are anticipated to be on sale in February 2024.
