By Triumph is all set to reveal its most affordable motorcycles at an official event in London tomorrow, June 27, 2023. As we reported earlier, the upcoming 400cc bikes are expected to be known as the Street 400 and the Street Scrambler 400. If we talk about the Indian market, Bajaj Auto will launch these bikes in India on July 5, 2023.
As we have already seen in the spy shots, a single-cylinder engine will power the forthcoming 400cc motorcycles. Also, the spy photos indicate that among these two motorcycles, one would be equipped with 17-inch wheels, while the other is a scrambler-styled bike with 19/17-inch wheels.
Moreover, speaking of the design and styling of the upcoming bikes, the Street 400 features retro styling. On the other hand, the scrambler-styled Street Scrambler 400 features knuckle guards and distinctive split-style exhaust canisters.
In terms of pricing, the Bajaj-Triumph collaboration may offer the bikes at a price range between Rs 2.50-3.50 lakh. These bikes, designed by Triumph and manufactured by Bajaj Auto in India, were supposed to be introduced in the country in 2022, but they were delayed due to the COVID-19 breakout. The bikes will compete against the likes of the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and the Honda CB350.
The launch of these bikes is a major milestone for both Bajaj and Triumph. It is the first time that Triumph has entered the Indian market in this segment and it is a significant move for the company. Bajaj, on the other hand, is looking to build on the success of the Dominar 400 and tap into the growing demand for premium motorcycles in India.
