The 2024 Kia Sonet facelift is set to make its India debut on December 14, 2023. It will be the first update for the sub-4 metre SUV, which has been on sale in the country since September 2020. And ahead of its debut, here are 5 new features which we expect will be added in the Sonet facelift SUV that will make it a more rounded package.

1. Design Refinements:One of the focal points of any facelift is often the design, and the 2024 Kia Sonet is expected to receive subtle yet impactful refinements. These could include refreshed front and rear fascias, updated grille designs, and possibly new alloy wheel options.

2. Technological Advancements:As technology continues to advance, the Sonet facelift is anticipated to integrate the latest in-car tech. This may include an upgraded infotainment system, possibly with a larger touchscreen display, enhanced connectivity features, and improved voice command functionality.

3. Advanced Safety Features:Safety is paramount, and the 2024 Sonet is expected to reinforce its commitment to occupant protection. Kia may introduce these features to not only meet but exceed safety standards, appealing to safety-conscious consumers.

4. Upgraded Powertrain Options:To stay competitive in the dynamic subcompact SUV segment, the Sonet facelift might introduce upgraded powertrain options. An updated powertrain lineup aims to cater to a diverse range of consumer preferences.

5. Interior Comfort and Quality:Refinements in the interior are a common expectation with facelifts, and the Sonet is no exception.

6. Ahead of Debut Excitement:The imminent debut of the 2024 Kia Sonet facelift has stirred excitement among automotive enthusiasts and potential buyers alike.

As the first major update approaches, Kia acknowledges the unique preferences of the Indian market and aims to deliver a refreshed Sonet that resonates even more strongly with the discerning Indian consumer.

The five anticipated features – design refinements, technological advancements, advanced safety features, upgraded powertrain options, and improved interior comfort – collectively aim to make the Sonet a more rounded and enticing package for prospective buyers. As Kia takes the wraps off the facelifted Sonet, it’s not just a vehicle; it’s a statement of innovation and commitment to delivering a driving experience that goes beyond expectations. The countdown to December 14, 2023, is on, and with it comes the promise of a Sonet that’s ready to redefine the subcompact SUV landscape in India.

Digital Driver’s Display

An earlier teaser from Kia India has revealed the presence of a fully digital 10.25-inch driver’s display from the 2023 Seltos facelift. It’s a hi-resolution screen with crisp graphics and multiple customisation options. Take a closer look at it right here.

360-Degree Camera

The current Sonet is equipped with a rear parking camera. However, it could be upgraded to a 360-degree camera system, which not only aids in parking in constrained spaces but provides substantial assistance when navigating through narrow lanes.

Partial ADAS Suite

The 2024 Kia Sonet might adopt the Venue’s partial Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite for safer drive experience. Its package gets basics such as forward-collision warning, forward-collision avoidance, lane-keeping assist, lane departure warning, lane following assist, high beam assist, leading vehicle departure alert, and driver attention warning.

Powered Driver’s Seat

Another feature that could be lifted off from the Venue is the four-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, allowing you to find the perfect driving position all the more easier. But do note that in the Venue, height adjustment is still manual and that could be the case with the Sonet as well.

USB Type-C Chargers

To keep up with the times, Kia could update the old USB charging ports with USB Type-C chargers. With the implementation of this feature, certain ports could get fast charging compatibility, allowing your device to juice up quicker.  These are the 5 features we anticipate that could be added to the 2024 Kia Sonet facelift. Also, if you’re interested in one, you’d be happy to know that unofficial reservations are open at select dealerships.  One can expect the Sonet’s prices to be bumped up slightly over the current model, which starts from Rs 7.79 lakh (ex-showroom). It will continue locking horns with the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Mahindra XUV300 and Nissan Magnite.
