Aurum Kawasaki Starts Deliveries of New Ninja ZX-10R & ZX-10RR in Delhi

Aurum Kawasaki, Delhi has delivered one unit each for the locally assembled ZX-10R and ZX-10RR in India. The former is finished in KRT theme while latter gets the Black finish all over its body. For those who are still not familiar with the difference, both bikes were earlier priced at the much higher point than their current price tags. Kawasaki saved a lot on taxes by choosing the CKD route for their liter-class superbikes, pricing the former at INR 12.80 lakh and ZX-10RR at INR 16.98 lakh.

Buyers looking for precision in equipment will go for ZX-10RR while those who wish to casually enjoy the superbike charm will consider the single R variant. Both these bikes are imported as single seat units, letting buyers choose if they wish to install the rear seat as an accessory later during the ownership experience. It is even advised that if you don’t race professionally with a group of riders on the track, going for Kawasaki ZX-10R can save you additional INR 4.18 lakh on the purchase.

The first difference that one can notice in ZX-10RR is the use of lighter wheels that are also different in design to the ZX-10R. The quickshifter is available on the top spec model, further pushing the motorcycle to its limits with ease of clutch-less shifts. The output stays identical on both the bikes but one may feel the difference when revving them side by side, getting benefits from the added equipment and lighter rotational mass through Marchesini wheels.

The 998cc, fuel injected and liquid-cooled motor is good for 200 HP at 13,000 rpm and 113.5 Nm at 11,500 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox with slipper clutch. Both variants are available with a 17-liter fuel tank and approx 200 kilometers of riding range in everyday conditions.
