Bajaj-Triumph Bike Spotted Near PuneLaunch Details and Expected Price

Triumph and Bajaj are set to launch affordable entry-level motorcycles. One of which has been spotted testing near the Bajaj Auto plant on the outskirts of Pune.

The first Bajaj Triumph 350cc motorbike is expected to be released later this year. The ex-showroom price is expected to be between Rs 2 lakh and Rs 2.5 lakh.

For quite some time, Bajaj has been attempting to eat into Royal Enfield’s market share. They launched the Dominar brand to do this, but it did not produce the desired results. Bajaj is making yet another attempt with the Triumph partnership.

The entry-level Bajaj-Triumph motorcycles will have two engine options. They are both built with a single-cylinder architecture. One has a displacement of 250cc and the other has a displacement of 350cc.

Liquid cooling, a slipper clutch, a quick shifter, ABS, and ride-by-wire, features will be available. Triumph is likely to launch only 250cc motorcycles in India, with 350cc models reserved for export markets. The engine specifications for these upcoming models are not public yet. But the 250cc version is expected to deliver around 30 bhp, while the larger 350cc unit could deliver around 40 bhp.

When it comes to body types, there will be four options. A Roadster and a Scrambler are already known, having been spotted testing before. A Cafe Racer and a Flat Tracker are the other two. Given Triumph’s naming conventions, we can expect the Street 250, Street 350 roadster, Scrambler 250, and Scrambler 350 models.

It will feature USD front forks, round headlights, a blackened engine bay, and a clean tail. Scrambler is outfitted with a small windscreen, a front beak, knuckle guards, a dual-barrel exhaust, and block pattern tyres. Triumph’s larger motorcycles in their respective genres inspired the design language.

Triumph also produces the Thruxton cafe racer. The Bajaj Triumph cafe racer is expected to use the same design language as the Thruxton. Triumph currently does not produce flat trackers. If this Bajaj Triumph platform produces a flat tracker, it will be Triumph’s first. The launch of this cafe racer is scheduled for later this year.
