There have also been quite a few private imports of previous-gen Camaros in our market, usually seen in yesteryear Bollywood movies from the 70s and 80s. Even in current times, there are a few privately imported fifth- and sixth-gen Camaros in India, in both coupe and convertible body styles. The Camaro’s main rival, the Ford Mustang, did have a short run in India from 2016 to 2019. Ford decided to shut shop in our market in 2021, but General Motors, along with its Chevorlet brand, exited India in 2017 itself.
