Dilip Chhabria Arrested in Mumbai: In a recent move by the Criminal Intelligence Unit (CIU), ace designer Dilip Chhabria, the owner of car modification studio ‘DC Design’ (DC2) has been booked under sections 420, 465, 467, 468, 471, 120 (B) and 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). He was arrested on Monday, December 28 by the CIU branch of Mumbai. The police have also seized his high-end car that is linked to the case. The car is parked currently at the Mumbai headquarters.
According to recent sources, he was arrested in connection to a racket of duplicate car registrations. His high-end sports car DC Avanti has also been seized by the crime branch unit with his arrest. The complaint against Chhabria was filed on December 19 with the CIU crime branch unit of Mumbai where the officials reacted to this report and arrested the accused.
The report further suggests that more arrests are to be made with the connection to the racket and the police are yet to reveal more details about the case. To know more, Dilip Chhabria is an ace designer and in the early days of his career he has also worked for the General Motors in the USA, and on his return, he started his own production of cars under the label ‘DC Design’, which is now known as DC2.
The ace designer in his career has also designed and styled various luxury vanity vans for big celebrities like Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Kapil Sharma, Vivek Oberoi, Sanjay Dutt, among others. Recently, Dilip Chhabria also modified a Mercedes-Benz V-Class luxury van for actor Hrithik Roshan and also customized a Toyota Innova Crysta MPV for actor Madhuri Dixit.
