Hero Karizma CE: Commemorating Legacy
Hero Karizma CE, where ‘CE’ stands for Commemorative Edition, holds a special place in Hero MotoCorp’s lineup. This unique motorcycle is set to launch on July 1st, coinciding with the 101st birth anniversary of the company’s founder, Dr Brijmohan Lall Munjal. Limited to just 100 units, each bike proudly displays its production number, starting with CE001.
Historical Tribute
To understand the significance of the Karizma CE, we need to take a historical detour to appreciate the legacy of Dr Brijmohan Lall Munjal. The CE edition pays rich tribute to the late founder and remembers his invaluable contributions to the company.
Distinctive Design and Features
The primary objective behind the Karizma CE is to pay homage to the original Karizma, a product that played a pivotal role in introducing Hero MotoCorp to the premium motorcycle space. The CE edition features a distinct semi-faired or bikini-faired styling, reminiscent of the iconic OG Karizma.
Engine and Performance
Powered by Hero’s all-new 210cc engine, the Karizma CE inherits advanced technologies such as a DOHC head and liquid cooling. The engine produces a thrilling and dynamic riding experience when combined with a 6-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch for added comfort.
Styling Elements
The front fascia of the Karizma CE incorporates LED headlights inspired by the Karizma XMR 210. While the fuel tank design and frame remain similar to the standard Karizma, the CE edition stands out with its unique semi-fairing, replacing the traditional rear seat with a sporty cowl.
Suspension and Carbon Fiber Panels
Noteworthy enhancements include a revamped suspension system with adjustable USD telescopic forks at the front and an Ohlins adjustable mono-shock setup at the rear. The bike has actual woven carbon fiber parts on the fascia, fairing, rear cowl, and chain guard, all of which have a lacquered finish.
Exclusive Handlebar and Color Palette
A distinctive handlebar, set higher than the standard model, is introduced to emulate the rider’s triangle of the OG Karizma. The frame and highlight elements are adorned in a vibrant red, providing a sporty and youthful contrast. The base coat, resembling Nardo Grey but slightly darker, adds a touch of sophistication.
The Akrapovic Exhaust
The Karizma CE’s individuality is demonstrated by the Akrapovic exhaust system, which improves both the car’s looks and performance. The collector’s item is expected to be more expensive than the standard Karizma XMR 210, making it an extremely desirable addition for motorcycle enthusiasts.
