Exciting Sneak Peek: Next-Gen Renault Duster Design Leaked

Introduction

The much-anticipated design of the new Renault Duster has been unveiled through leaked patent images, setting the stage for its global debut on November 29, 2023, in Portugal. The upcoming Duster promises a fresh look, enhanced underpinnings, and a variety of powertrain options.

Design Insights: A Blend of Boldness and Familiarity

  • The patent images confirm that the new Duster draws inspiration from the Bigster concept but boasts unique styling cues. While the Bigster is a sizable 3-row SUV at 4.6 meters, the Duster appears more compact. Noteworthy features include a high bonnet line, distinctive Y-shaped headlamps, and a slim grille seamlessly integrated with the headlamps.

  • The SUV’s profile maintains the signature squared-off wheel arches, roof rails, and spoiler seen in the Bigster. Renault has also cleverly designed the tapering rear quarter glass to establish a visual link between the original Duster and its successor. The blacked-out ‘B’ and ‘C’ pillars, along with a shadow-line below the mirrors, add a touch of sophistication.

  • The rear is adorned with sharply styled V-shaped tail lights, although the distinctive rear haunches from the earlier Duster have been toned down for a more refined appearance.

Powerful Performance: Three Engine Options Unveiled

The next-gen Duster is not just about looks; it packs a punch under the hood. International variants will offer three engine options: an entry-level 120hp, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol; a 140hp, 1.2-litre petrol hybrid; and a flex-fuel compliant 170hp, 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine for the top variants. This makes the 170hp variant the most powerful Duster ever to hit production.

Coming to India in Style: Launch Details Revealed

Indian enthusiasts can rejoice as the new Duster is set to hit the roads by 2025. Positioned as a direct competitor in the midsize SUV segment, it will contend with popular models such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder.

The November 29 debut is eagerly awaited, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the iconic Renault Duster. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting unveiling!
