Exploring the Specifications of Ford Endeavour for UAE Market

The forthcoming launch of the new-gen Ford Endeavour also known as the Everest in global markets has stirred excitement regarding its potential arrival in India. Although the official launch confirmation is pending, it’s worth noting that this model is available in various international markets with diverse specifications. To better understand the Endy version available in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) this research will delve into its unique qualities. Come on, let’s go specific!

A Noteworthy Petrol Option

The UAE version of the Ford Endeavour offers a unique feature not commonly found in other markets: a turbo-petrol engine. This 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine generates an impressive 296 PS and 420 Nm of torque, coupled with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Interestingly, this engine is identical to the one powering the base model of the Mustang in the United States.

Additionally, a diesel engine is available, delivering 170 PS and 405 Nm of torque from a 2-litre unit, paired with a 6-speed automatic gearbox, exclusive to the entry-level variant. All iterations of the Ford Endeavour available in the UAE come equipped with four-wheel drive as standard.

Variant Options and Color Choices

The UAE-spec Ford Endeavour offers a selection of seven color options, including Equinox Bronze, Absolute Black, Aluminium (silver), Arctic White, Meteor Grey, Sedona Orange, and Snow Flake White. It is available in three primary variants: XLS, XLT, and Limited.

Impressive Features

The top-tier variants of the Ford Endeavour in the UAE boast an array of features, such as a 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless connectivity for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an 8-inch digital driver’s display, dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, powered and ventilated front seats, a premium 12-speaker Bang and Olufsen sound system, wireless phone charging, and a hands-free powered tailgate.

In terms of safety, it includes six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). While the UAE-spec Endy lacks heated steering and seats, features found in the Australian model, their absence is justified given the region’s consistently hot climate.

Expected Launch and Pricing in India

Although the launch of the Endeavour in India is yet to be officially confirmed, speculation suggests it might arrive as a completely built unit (CBU). If introduced, it could be priced in the range of Rs. 55 lakh to Rs. 60 lakh (ex-showroom). Rivals such as the Jeep Meridian, MG Gloster, Toyota Fortuner, and Skoda Kodiaq will be its opponents.
