Hero began deliveries of the Harley-Davidson X440 on October 15, as promised, and they began in a major way. Deliveries were made across the country at 100 dealerships, including standalone Harley-Davidson and select Hero MotoCorp locations.
The Harley-Davidson X440 is manufactured at Hero MotoCorp’s plant in Neemrana, Rajasthan. The bike was first introduced in July 2023 and received over 25,000 bookings in its first month.
The demand was so great that Hero temporarily canceled bookings throughout the country and raised prices across the board. Now that deliveries have commenced, Hero has reopened bookings through existing Harley-Davidson dealerships as well as select premium Hero dealerships. Reservations can also be made online.
The bike is offered in three variants: Denim for Rs 2,39,500, Vivid for Rs 2,59,500, and S for Rs 2,79,500. This represents a Rs 10,500 increase over the initial pricing.
Niranjan Gupta, CEO of Hero MotoCorp, stated, “It will be our goal to complete all deliveries over the next 4-5 months.” Our supply chain is already building up capacity in order to satisfy every single consumer in India who wants to purchase a Harley Davidson and lower the waiting period in the future.” We are excited to bring the thrill of Harley-Davidson bikes to motoring enthusiasts across the country, including Tier II cities and smaller towns,” his statement read.
