Harley-Davidson recently launched its most affordable motorcycle in India, the X440. Harley offers the bike in three variants: Denim, Vivid, and top-of-the-line S. Prices for the Denim, Vivid, and S models are Rs. 2.29 lakh, Rs. 2.49 lakh, and Rs. 2.69 lakh, respectively.

A 440cc, air- and oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine powers the X440. This engine with a 6-speed transmission produces a max power of 27 hp at 6,000 rpm and 38 Nm of peak torque at 4,000 rpm. The engine is housed in a steel trellis frame with 43mm USD front forks and twin rear shock absorbers. Braking is handled by a large 320mm front disc brake, a 240mm rear disc brake, and a dual-channel ABS unit.
The X440 rolls on new MRF Zapper Hyke tires, size 100/90-18 (front) and 140/70-17 (rear). The X440 has a seat height of 805mm, which is very comfortable for short as well as tall riders. The bike weighs 190.5kg with a full fuel tank and has a ground clearance of 170mm.
The Denim variant is the base model and comes with wire-spoke wheels, minimal badging, and a black and yellow paint scheme. The Vivid variant is the mid-range model and comes with alloy wheels, dual-tone paint schemes, and more chromed parts. The top S variant includes diamond-cut alloy wheels as well as machined engine cooling fins. It also has 3D badging, a colour TFT dash with Bluetooth connectivity, and navigation and notification alerts.
Denim is the base model and is available in Mustard Yellow. It has a black frame and black wheels, with a yellow tank and yellow accents on the headlight, fenders, and side panels.
Vivid is the mid-range model and is available in Metallic Thick Red or Metallic Dark Silver. It has black wheels and a black frame, with red or silver accents on the headlight, fenders, and side panels.
S is only available in Matte Black. It has black wheels and a black frame, with black accents on the headlight, fenders, and side panels. Harley offers the USB charging port as standard on all three variants.
