According to a dealer source who attended Hero MotoCorp’s national dealer conference, the delay is due to the company’s desire to ensure that the XPulse 420 meets the highest standards before it is released. The R&D team is still working on resolving some of the issues that have been identified.
Another reason for the delay could be the global chip shortage and rising input costs. Hero MotoCorp has said that it is working hard to resolve these issues and bring the XPulse 420 to market as soon as possible.
The XPulse 420 prototype was displayed a few years ago, but there hasn’t been any more information on the bike until recently. The contemporary XPulse 200 is renowned for its off-road prowess but isn’t powerful enough to cruise around the highway in comfort. This problem is anticipated to be solved with the XPulse 420’s larger engine.
Both XPulse 200 owners searching for an upgrade and potential-new consumers curious about Hero MotoCorp’s adventure motorcycles are the target markets for the XPulse 420. The BMW G310GS, KTM 390 Adventure, and Royal Enfield Himalayan 411 are now dominating the 300-400cc adventure motorcycle market.
