Tata Motors unveiled the facelifted Tata Safari in October and this updated model not only boasts a sportier aesthetic but also introduces a host of new and enhanced features. Among its notable achievements the new Safari secured an impressive 5-star rating in the Global NCAP crash tests underscoring its commitment to safety. To showcase the diverse capabilities of the refreshed Safari, Tata has launched a compelling new TVC under the theme ‘Reclaim Your Life.’
The latest TVC maintains the iconic background music that made its debut in 2006 with the advertisement for the Safari DICOR model. This music, synonymous with the ‘Reclaim Your Life’ theme, captivated audiences back in 2006 and has once again struck a chord in the hearts of viewers in 2023.
While the characters in the new ad campaign have changed the essence of adventure and exploration remains intact. The narrative revolves around the idea of the missing piece in people’s lives and positions the Safari as the missing element that can inject excitement and joy and the Safari is portrayed as a versatile SUV suitable for daily activities as well as off-road adventures.
The TVC meticulously highlights all the unique selling points (USPs) of the SUV and the facelifted Safari comes with a slew of cosmetic updates that give it a bold and commanding presence. The TVC features the Accomplished+ diesel-automatic variant showcasing the Cosmic Gold exterior shade perfectly complementing the SUV’s overall profile.
The Tata Safari is a visual delight, featuring design elements such as a sleeker grille, Bi-LED projector headlamps, full-width connected LED DRLs, a robust faux skid plate in metallic finish, R19 dual-tone Spider alloys, the iconic Safari mascot on doors, roof rails with chrome inserts, and connected LED tail lamps.
?The interior of the SUV is also spotlighted in the TVC emphasizing key features such as a refreshed dashboard, a two-spoke steering wheel adorned with an illuminated Tata logo, multicolor mood lights, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a panoramic sunroof, dual-tone leatherette upholstery, and captain seats in the second row.
The TVC pays particular attention to the off-roading capabilities of the Tata Safari facelift and it positions the Safari as a reliable machine that empowers users to conquer diverse and challenging terrains. While the original Safari had rear-wheel drive (RWD) as standard the new Safari is a front-wheel-drive (FWD) vehicle like the Harrier. The TVC showcases the Safari drifting in reverse, highlighting its adaptability even without the traditional RWD. To compensate for the absence of RWD and 4X4 Tata offers Terrain Response Modes with options for Normal, Rough, and Wet modes, catering to various terrains.
Powering the Safari is a robust 2.0-litre diesel engine generating 170 PS of maximum power and 350 Nm of peak torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic. Derived from Land Rover’s D8 platform the Safari delivers superior drive dynamics and reliability and is equipped with a smart e-shifter, paddle shifter, and drive modes including Eco, City, and Sport, the Safari ensures a versatile driving experience.
The original ‘Reclaim Your Life’ TVC played a pivotal role in establishing the Safari as a popular choice. The latest TVC exudes similar vibes and specifically targets young accomplished individuals and this new TVC is ready to dispel any questions people may have about the Safari’s potential and help them make wise judgments.
